Ingredients:
2 ribeye steaks (or your preferred cut)
Salt and pepper, to taste
4 large potatoes, peeled and quartered
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup milk or cream
Salt and pepper, to taste
Chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Steaks:
Season steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and cook to your desired doneness, about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Remove steaks from skillet and let them rest for a few minutes.
Prepare the Mashed Potatoes:
While the steaks are cooking, place potatoes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.
Mash the Potatoes:
Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot. Add butter and milk or cream. Mash the potatoes until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Serve:
Divide mashed potatoes onto plates. Slice the rested steaks and place them on top of the mashed potatoes. Optionally, garnish with chopped parsley for added freshness.
Enjoy:
Serve the Steak and Mashed Potatoes hot, and enjoy a comforting and satisfying meal!
This recipe pairs tender, juicy steaks with creamy mashed potatoes for a classic and delicious dish. Enjoy!
