OMG DON’T LOSE THIS RECIPE! This delicious surf and turf features tender steak bites and juicy shrimp, all tossed in a mouthwatering garlic butter sauce—a perfect meal for a special occasion or a quick, indulgent dinner!
Ingredients:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
½ lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tbsp olive oil
4 tbsp butter, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ tsp paprika
1 tsp Italian seasoning
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions:
Season the Steak and Shrimp: Season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and paprika. Season shrimp separately with salt and pepper.
Sear the Steak: Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp of butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak bites and sear for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.
Cook the Shrimp: In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp of butter. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes, or until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside with the steak.
Make the Garlic Butter Sauce: Lower heat to medium, add the remaining 2 tbsp of butter and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until garlic is fragrant. Stir in Italian seasoning.
Combine and Toss: Return steak and shrimp to the skillet, tossing in the garlic butter sauce until coated and warmed through.
Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges for a fresh burst of flavor.
Helpful Tip: For added flavor, drizzle with a bit of soy sauce or Worcestershire sauce while cooking the steak. Pair with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal!
