WOULD YOU EAT THESE FISH FINGERS AND CHIPS

OMG DON’T LOSE THIS RECIPE! This homemade fish and chips recipe features crispy fish fingers and golden fries for a classic comfort meal that’s perfect for a family-friendly dinner or a nostalgic treat!

Ingredients:
Fish Fingers

1 lb white fish fillets (like cod or haddock), cut into strips
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 large eggs, beaten
1 cup breadcrumbs or panko (for extra crunch)
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika
Oil for frying
Chips

3 large russet potatoes, cut into thick fries
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Optional seasoning: garlic powder or smoked paprika
Instructions:
Prepare the Chips: Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Toss the cut potatoes with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread in a single layer on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy. For extra crunch, broil for an additional 2-3 minutes.

Set Up Breading Stations for Fish: In three separate bowls, set up a breading station—flour in the first bowl, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in the third.

Coat the Fish: Season the fish strips with salt and pepper. Dredge each strip in flour, dip in egg, and coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to ensure even coating.

Fry the Fish Fingers: In a skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry the fish fingers in batches for 3-4 minutes per side, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.

Serve: Serve the crispy fish fingers and hot, golden fries together. Pair with tartar sauce, ketchup, or malt vinegar for a classic touch.

Helpful Tip: For an extra crispy coating, chill the breaded fish fingers in the fridge for 15 minutes before frying. Enjoy with coleslaw or a fresh side salad!
