2 ribeye or New York strip steaks (about 1-inch thick)
2 tbsp olive oil
Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Cajun Shrimp:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
2 tbsp olive oil
1 1/2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
4 cloves garlic, minced
Juice of 1 lemon
Fresh chopped parsley, for garnish
For Serving:
Lemon wedges
Grilled vegetables or a side of rice (optional)
Directions
Season the steaks: Rub the steaks with olive oil and season generously with salt and black pepper. Let the steaks sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes before grilling.
Prepare the Cajun shrimp: In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, and minced garlic. Set aside to marinate for 10-15 minutes while preparing the grill.
Grill the steaks: Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Place the steaks on the hot grill and cook for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or to your desired level of doneness. Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing.
Cook the Cajun shrimp: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat or use a grill pan. Add the shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until they are pink and cooked through. Squeeze the juice of 1 lemon over the shrimp and sprinkle with fresh chopped parsley.
Serve hot: Arrange the sliced steak and Cajun shrimp on a platter. Garnish with lemon wedges and serve with your favorite sides like grilled vegetables, rice, or a simple salad.
