This creamy, dreamy fudge captures the sweet and tangy flavors of an orange dreamsicle. With just a few simple ingredients, this treat will make you feel like you’re enjoying summer all year long.
Ingredients:
10 drops orange food coloring
3 cups granulated sugar
3 tsp orange extract
2 cups white chocolate chips
Dairy:
3/4 cup unsalted butter
2/3 cup heavy cream
7 oz marshmallow cream (or fluff)
Instructions:
1. Prepare the Pan:
Line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking. Set aside.
2. Make the Fudge Base:
In a medium saucepan, combine the butter, granulated sugar, and heavy cream.
Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the butter has melted and the sugar is dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil and let it cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Be careful not to let it burn.
3. Add Marshmallow Cream and Orange Extract:
Once the mixture has boiled for 5 minutes, remove it from the heat. Stir in the marshmallow cream, orange extract, and orange food coloring. Stir until everything is smooth and well combined.
4. Add White Chocolate:
Add the white chocolate chips to the mixture, stirring until completely melted and the fudge is smooth and creamy.
5. Pour and Set:
Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared baking pan. Spread it evenly and tap the pan gently on the counter to smooth out the top.
Allow the fudge to cool at room temperature for about 1 hour. Once cooled, transfer to the refrigerator and let it set for an additional 2-3 hours or until fully firm.
6. Slice and Serve:
Once the fudge is set, cut it into squares and serve.
