Creamy Mushroom Soup Recipe

Creamy mushroom soup—rich, earthy, and silky smooth—is the ideal accompaniment to a home-cooked dinner.

Recipe Items

Sliced mushrooms, 1 pound (either cremini or white, or a combination for a more robust taste)

One sliced onion

2 minced garlic cloves

4 cups of veggie stock

using one cup of heavy cream

Add seasonings (salt and pepper) separately.

Instructions

Step 1: Melt the Aromatics

A tablespoon of butter or olive oil, heated over medium heat, may be added to a big saucepan.

Sauté the minced garlic and chopped onion for three to four minutes, or until aromatic and translucent.

Step 2: Sauté the Mushrooms

Slice the mushrooms and add them to the saucepan.

The mushrooms should be cooked for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring once or twice, or until they dry up and get a golden brown color.

3. Boil the Soup.
