Ingredients:
For the Steak:
4 ribeye or sirloin steaks
2 tbsp olive oil
2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
For the Shrimp:
1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
1 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp butter
For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
2 tbsp butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup heavy cream
1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Directions:
Season the Steak:
Rub the steaks with olive oil, Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper on both sides. Let them sit at room temperature for 10-15 minutes while you prepare the shrimp.
Cook the Shrimp:
In a skillet over medium-high heat, heat olive oil and butter. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Add the shrimp and Cajun seasoning, cooking for 2-3 minutes per side until the shrimp turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
Cook the Steak:
In the same skillet (or a grill pan), cook the steaks over medium-high heat for 4-5 minutes per side, depending on desired doneness (medium-rare to medium). Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Prepare the Garlic Butter Sauce:
In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the minced garlic. Cook for 1 minute, then add the heavy cream, lemon juice, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir and simmer for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
Serve:
Plate the steaks and top with the Cajun shrimp. Drizzle the garlic butter sauce over the top and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve with your favorite sides such as mashed potatoes, rice, or sautéed vegetables.
