OMG DON’T LOSE THIS RECIPE!
Ingredients:
1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
8 oz spicy sausage (e.g., andouille or smoked sausage), sliced
2 cups broccoli florets
3 tbsp olive oil, divided
4 cloves garlic, minced
¼ cup honey
¼ cup soy sauce
1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
1 tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
Salt and pepper, to taste
2 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Cooked white rice (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Make the Honey Garlic Sauce:
In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.
2. Cook the Sausage:
In a large skillet, heat 1 tbsp olive oil over medium-high heat.
Add sliced sausage and cook until browned (about 5 minutes). Remove and set aside.
3. Cook the Broccoli:
Add 1 tbsp olive oil to the same skillet and sauté broccoli florets for 3-4 minutes, or until tender-crisp. Remove and set aside.
4. Cook the Shrimp:
Add the remaining 1 tbsp olive oil to the skillet.
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper, then add them to the skillet.
Cook for 2-3 minutes per side, or until pink and cooked through.
5. Combine and Add Sauce:
Return the sausage and broccoli to the skillet with the shrimp.
Pour the honey garlic sauce over everything, tossing to coat evenly.
Simmer for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce thickens slightly.
6. Serve:
Garnish with sesame seeds and serve over cooked white rice.
Tips:
Extra Crunch: Add sliced bell peppers or snap peas for a colorful crunch.
Spicier Flavor: Increase the red pepper flakes or add Sriracha to the sauce.
Thicker Sauce: Add a cornstarch slurry (1 tsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water) for a thicker glaze.
