Ingredients:
2 lamb shanks
1 onion, chopped
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup red wine
2 cups beef broth
4 large potatoes, peeled
1/2 cup heavy cream
4 tbsp butter
Directions:
Brown lamb shanks in a pot. Add garlic and onion, cook until soft.
Pour in red wine, let it reduce by half, then add broth.
Simmer for 2 hours until tender.
Meanwhile, boil potatoes until soft. Mash with butter, cream, salt, and pepper.
Serve lamb shanks on a bed of mashed potatoes
